  • National trade shows - HMP Communications, LLC is a leader in several specialty fields with national trade shows that bring niched groups of clinicians face-to-face with health care companies who wish to demonstrate the value of their products and services to these highly desirable audiences. Exhibitions of new products and services are held in conjunction with each show as a way to introduce traditional and cutting-edge technologies during a 2-3 day period.
  • Conferences - Led by experts who present the latest clinical information in their specific field of medicine, physicians, nurses, therapists and administrators attend HMP's many annual conferences to build their knowledge base and interact with their peers.
  • Symposium on Advanced Wound Care and Wound Healing Society (SAWC/WHS Spring). The Symposium on Advanced Wound Care and Wound Healing Society (SAWC/WHS) Spring meeting is the premier educational wound care program within this clinical field and is the largest annual gathering of wound care clinicians in the United States. More than 2,000 physicians, podiatrists, nurses, therapists, and researchers attend each year to receive CME/CE credits and may choose from seven program tracks aimed at meeting their multidisciplinary wound care educational needs. The SAWC/WHS partnership reflects the need for clinicians to better understand the research and science behind wound management for optimal patient outcomes. In addition, it is the official meeting of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) — the preeminent multidisciplinary organization for wound care.

Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC Fall). The Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC Fall) meeting was launched in 2009 — nearly 700 physicians, podiatrists, nurses, therapists, scientists from academia and allied healthcare professionals attended the inaugural show. Educational opportunities are provided in a variety of formats and venues; interactive, hands-on, and classroom-style offerings facilitate acquisition of the latest evidence-based information from the most widely regarded wound care experts in the world. The rationale behind launching a second SAWC was internal research showing the majority of SAWC/WHS Spring attendance comes from a 300- to 500-mile radius of the event. Therefore, many wound care clinicians were missing the opportunity to attend SAWC/WHS each spring. HMP will be strategic in selecting venues and locations for the SAWC/WHS each spring and for the SAWC Fall to ensure optimal, non-duplicative attendance.

Sponsors of symposia welcome the opportunity to support educational offerings that can positively affect better patient care through these offerings.
